Take Karlsson....... PLEASE!
The reason Flames only played him 26 games is because he sucks.
Danis is much better. |

Another interesting option could be dealing for JS Giguere from the Colorado Avalanche. They have way too many prospect goalies if you look at their contract list, and they have zero chance at being a playoff team, so they might be open to making a move.
As an avalanche fan I shake my fist at you. |

Why would we want Karlsson?
Danis > Karlsson
Irving > Karlsson |

Lack of grit in your top 6 will the Oil downfall.
I know, I have been there with the Wings.... and we have guys like Franzen, Bertuzzi and Cleary, although aren't as skilled, have sand paper.
Oil will need it to make the top 8, and better get some fast if they hope too. |

Roloson is a free agent also.. Nice stop gap, I guess.
You could try to pry Lehner out of Ottawa.
Maybe Theodore out of Florida.
Keep in mind, having 2 successful goalies will be extremely important this season. This is why the Canucks and LAKings would be silly to trade Lu or Bernier.
So many back to back games, 5 games in 4 nights, ect. |

This very well may be. I think it may hurt us worse than the oft talked about defence or unproven goaltending.
Size and toughness at 2 C would help us immensely |

Nilsson would hard to get from the Islanders unless giving a good player back.He could be co- starter with Poulin next season. Nabokov might best option. |

there is ZERO chance of that happening. oilers dont' have the assets (that they're willing to move) to acquire lehner. murray isn't sending him to edmonton for guys like gagner, hemsky, or PRV. if lehner is the target, there isn't even any point in making the call to bryan murray, cuz he isn't moving him. |

what about bishop and a 2nd rd pick for smid? you guys have some solid stay at home guys (n. schultz, fistric), plus some solid young gusy (klefbom, j.schultz).
move smid, get a decent pick and a goalie with some solid potential. has played great in AHL and limited NHL action the last 3 years. |

Soon as I saw karllsson on waivers i was actually surprised cause he looked really good for a poor flames team last year.I agree keep the picks and pick up karllsson.Do we not have first pick in waiver draft? |

dubnyk is better than bishop - hugefemale dog77
not sure you can say that with 100% certainty. i haven't heard a single analysis from anybody that's confident in dubnyk as the goalie. all the talk is about "is he ready" "can he handle the workload" "can he be consistent". bishop has a lot of potential, and could challenge dubnyk for the number 1 job. at the very least, having a good goalie playing behind him would light a fire under dubnyk's ass. how worried can he be about losign his job, when his back up is pretty much an old cripple |
